mrc Press Release
mrc improves m-Power's record filtering
April 2010 Lombard, IL - Today, software tool developer mrc announces improvements to
m-Power's record filtering. m-Power is software that rapidly creates
web applications such as report-writing, business intelligence, executive dashboards, e-commerce, customer
portals, and wireless applications to name a few. m-Power is also used to modernize legacy applications in
a fraction of the time other approaches might take.
The record filtering area allows you to narrow the focus of your applications. For example, you could create
a filter to narrow down a report to only include customers located in California. You could make another
filter on top of the first and narrow down customers in California which generate over $100,000 in sales.
The improvements to record filtering are all based on customer feedback. Here are a few of the most notable
improvements which have been included in this upgrade:
- Unlimited list values : You can now add as many values to a list filter as you wish. For example, if you want to create an application listing customer sales by state, you could add as few or as many states as you need.
- Simpler data entry : The new record filtering area has an improved interface and edit checking to guide you through the data entry process.
- New possibilities : List and range filters are no longer limited by delimiters that might occur in the data. Instead they are entered in separate fields and m-Power takes care of these more technical details.
"Over the years, m-Power has improved and evolved based on customer feedback, and this upgrade is no different," says Brian Crowley, mrc's Director of Development. "These improvements are exciting because they not only give m-Power greater functionality and flexibility, they also give our customers extra capabilities they want and need."
