For your convenience, mrc now ships m-Power as an executable file.

If you are moving a current install of m-Power to a new server, please click here.

For new customers:

  1. Download the m-Power software. To download m-Power, please contact a member of our sales team.
  2. Before continuing, be sure to download and save your mrclicense.txt file to your c:\ drive.
  3. Install m-Power by double clicking the .exe file. (Administrator rights are required for installation).
  4. The installation program will install all necessary components of m-Power (including the Java Developer Kit, as well as service installation for your Tomcat application server).
  5. Once completed, you will be required to reboot your PC. m-Power will be unable to compile new applications until after this step is completed.
  6. Finally, you should be able to test that your system was set up correctly by going to http://999.999.999.999:8011/webapp/mrc/ (where 999.999.999.999 is the IP address of your Windows server). Note: If you can not connect, be sure that no firewall is blocking activity on Port 8011.
Choose the middle link, Software Configuration.
For User Name, enter your AS400 User Name.
For Password, enter your AS400 Password.
    Click Accept.

m-Power is now finalizing the installation process on your database. The MRCAPPLLIB and MRCMPOWER schemas are currently being built on your database.

When this screen is completed you will be taken to the Database Selection Screen:

Click the Radio button for the appropriate database, and enter your user name and password. Click Accept.

Once you are logged in you will see this screen:

Finally, click the Admin link at the top, and then the Version & Software Update button. On this screen, click “Apply Update”. If you see an error, please ensure your user has full authority on the database. Once successfully completed, you are finished installing m-Power.

Congratulations -– You have successfully configured m-Power to run on your Windows server.

  7. Finally, click the Admin link at the top, and then the Version & Software Update button. On this screen, click “Apply Update”. If you see an error, please ensure your user has full authority on the database. Once successfully completed, you are finished installing m-Power.
  8. Once m-Power has been correctly installed and you are able to sign in properly, the final step is to copy over any generated applications from your old install. To do so, simply copy the mrcjava folder from the old server’s m-power folder to the same location on the new server. Be sure to do this for both development and production, if necessary.

Congratulations -– You have successfully moved m-Power to your new Windows server.
