m-Painter support for Firefox
m-Painter now supports Mozilla Firefox! This document discusses some important information regarding the use of m-Painter in Firefox.
m-Painter is a tool that relies heavily on JavaScript and the Document Object Model (DOM) to provide serious client-side functionality without the client-side install. It is well-documented that each browser has its own distinct implementation of the DOM. Just as some websites look and behave a little differently in different browsers, it is expected that there will be some differences with m-Painter among the various browsers too. If m-Painter users find that fact bothersome, it is recommended that those users become comfortable with one browser and use that same browser consistently when using m-Painter.

m-Painter was originally released with only support for MS Internet Explorer. As of June 2009, m-Painter also supports FireFox. Listed below are some of the differences users might encounter in m-Painter as rendered by FireFox:
- Some form inputs are incapable of drag-and-drop techniques unless selected along with other elements.
- The Delete Column and Delete Row functions appear as handles with X’s when you have focus in a table column/row.
- Drag-and-drop handles appear differently when an element is selected.
- When a row is selected and specified as “hidden”, it disappears in WYSIWYG mode and therefore cannot be “un-hidden” without switching to text mode.
- Some form inputs (dropdown lists, radio buttons, checkboxes) cannot be modified in WYSIWYG mode.
