Configuring m-Power for Windows

 

For your convenience, m-Power is shipped pre-configured to run on Microsoft Windows. Here is what you need to do to fully set up m-Power:

 

1.      Download the m-Power software

a.  The software can be located here.

b.  For convenience, save the file in c:\temp.

2.      Extract the .zip file to the c:\

a.  Either using Microsoft Extraction utility or any third-party compression tool, unzip m-power.zip to the c:\

3.       Install the m-Power license file

a.  You should have received an email from mrc with a file name mrclicense.txt. If you have not, please contact us at 630.916.0662 for assistance.

b.  Place it in the following directory: c:\m-power\proddata\conf

1.      Start Tomcat by running start_tomcat.bat in the c:\m-power folder. (Note: You can also set up Tomcat as a Service, click here to find out how).

2.      You should be able to test that your system was set up correctly by going to http://999.999.999.999:8011/webapp/mrc/ (where 999.999.999.999 where 999.999.999.999 is the IP address of your Windows server).

a.  Choose the middle link, m-Power configuration.

 

Your screen should resemble the one listed above.

For Location of Generated Apps, type “c:\\m-power\mrcjava\WEB-INF”

For Initial mrc dictionary, type “MRCTEST”

For User Name, enter your AS400 User Name

For Password, enter your AS400 Password.

Click Accept.

m-Power is now finalizing the installation process on your AS400. The MRCAPPLLIB and MRCTEST libraries are currently being built on your AS400.

 

When this screen is completed you will be taken to the Database Selection Screen:

Note: You, most likely, will only one Database

 

Click the Radio button for the appropriate database, and enter your user name and password. Click Accept.

 

Once you are logged in you will see this screen:

 

Congratulations – You have successfully configured m-Power to run on your Windows server.

 

 

 

3.
