| Question: When trying to open an mrc report in PDF format using Adobe Acrobat, one of the following errors occurs: - There was an error processing a page.
- There was a problem reading this document.
OR - There was an error processing a page, too few operands.
In the case of the second error, many times it will be followed by another message stating: An unrecognized token ')' found. What is causing these errors?
|
Answer: What we will be looking for in this case is a single parenthesis symbol somewhere in the data of the report.
The easiest way to check the data is by going back to the green screen side of the report, or displaying it in HTML format. Both of these formats will still display the report, but the single parenthesis is what does not allow the data to be loaded into the Acrobat reader correctly.
An example of this would be using a phone number field where the data was incorrectly displayed as (630-555-5555. This could be an invalid edit code, or the parenthesis could be included in the actual field data, both times resulting in the error.
To correct this problem, simply adjust the data so there is a second parenthesis to match.
