Hotline Question of the Month

by Matt Olson

Question:

“I know I can now download report data into a CSV file. But, once I do, I can't find the report link on the mrcmenu page in our browser. What am I doing wrong?”

Answer:

One of the newest enhancements to the mrc-Productivity Series is the ability to download report data into a CSV file. However, after downloading this enhancement off our Website, some customers have been unable to locate their report link on the mrcmenu page in their web browser.

First, you will have to run the report twice to generate the CSV file on the IFS. Once to compile the report, the second to generate the CSV file. Then you will have to call the application directly from the IFS, not from a link on the mrcmenu.html page.

For example, if my report is #12345 in the dictionary mrctest, the following address should be entered to call the CSV application: http://100.100.0.100/mrcjava/mrctest/r12345.csv.
