Hotline Question of the Month

by Margaret Jeronim

Question:

“I downloaded ODATESPLUS external object from your Web site. When I try to define it in option 44 - External objects to mrc I get message on the screen "invalid object library specified".

I put MRCAPPLLIB for a library but still I get that message. Why? ”

Answer:

First make sure that the downloaded external object is actually in MRCAPPLLIB in QOBJLESRC or QOBJSRC file.

If it is, you have to make sure to compile its source into an object by specifying option 14-Compile.

After the compile you can proceed to define external object to mrc in option 44.

If the external object is not in MRCAPPLLIB, you probably specified different library when you restored.
