Hotline Question of the Month |

Question: When I try to compile an application with a new template I just downloaded, the compile fails.
The error message in the job log states 'Error: member XXXXXXXX in MRCAPPLLIB/QDDSSRC NOT FOUND' (where XXXXXXXX is the name of the template).
What does that mean?
|
Answer:
All of the new release 8.0 templates will be stored in MRCAPPLLIB/QDDSLESRC, not QDDSSRC.
To check if the download of the template was successful use STRPDM and select option 3 (Members), where QDDSLESRC is the file and MRCAPPLLIB is the library.
Once you verify that the template is in MRCAPPLLIB/QDDSLESRC, go into the mrc-Productivity Series Administrator Menu and select option 43 (Template Management Options).
Then, select option 2 (Update template validation cross- reference). After the template validation process is complete you can recompile the application.
