    Hotline Question of the Month
    .

“ I am using the SmartLink Return Data feature so that my user can get a prompt on a retrieval lookup for a list of valid values for a maintenance data entry screen.

The maintainer prompts correctly, but the retrieval lacks a Return Data link.

    Why won't this work? ”

    .

This section is for customers only and is password-protected.

    This month's featured update:

Easier process for registering your files to the data dictionary.

The m-Power and BED interfaces have been improved to simplify the process of registering a database table to the data dictionary. Two main enhancements:

    1. The text more clearly describes that a table is being "registered" instead of "added".

    2. Now, a separate screen is provided to allow the direct entry of library/schema and table, simplifying the entry for many users. The option to browse libraries/schemas and tables from a list remains as a separate screen option.
