This is the real-life wireless application of one of our customers, a manufacturer that has 1300 branches of retailers selling their product. They needed a more efficient way to get warehouse information into the hands of their retailers, to let them know what is available. So they put that power, literally, right in their hands.

 1) Custom reports are written for deployment to Blackberry users in retail, and added to their menu.

2) Here's a safety stock report that users can use from their handhelds to see what products they currently have in stock. |
3) A sales rep at TJH Preston needed to know which items of their Luxury product design was in stock for one of his customers. So, he consulted his Blackerry. This run-time prompt allows users to scroll down and choose their store from the drop-down store list. |
4) He then enters the design name he needs, and then scrolls down to the run button to initiate the report request.

5) Voila! This report is designed to fit the limited screen size...It shows the store number and design, and the stock available for each SKU under that design. The user is able to inform the customer, how many items in the Luxury line are currently available. |
6) Scrolling down the rest of the way reveals all of the data and the Grand Total of all of the products available. The customer wants two of each, and the sales representative was able to place that order with confidence knowing that those items were in stock/ Both customer and rep are happy. |
