Remember when I told you that we were giving m-Power Translate away to all current m-Power customers? I wasn’t joking: As of the January 16th update, m-Power Translate is a part of m-Power! If you haven’t already, just download that update from your customer portal, and you’ll be able to use m-Power Translate.
What is it?
If you do business in multiple countries (or would like to), it will be a real time-saver. As the name implies, m-Power Translate automatically translates your applications into as many languages as you wish every time you build a web application. But, that’s not all. For a full description of m-Power Translate and how it will help you, check out this video.
Don’t make this mistake
If you do plan on selling to other countries, here’s a common mistake to avoid: Some people assume that in-browser translation is all they need. Let me give you two reasons this is wrong:
- In-browser translation isn’t completely accurate: How can you know for certain that your message is getting translated correctly?
- It will hurt sales: Studies show that people aren’t likely to buy from you unless your site/web apps are translated into their native language.
Of course, translation is only one of many necessary steps you must take to successfully reach a global audience. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a nice article that lists 12 great tips for doing business globally.
To wrap things up, let me leave you with this thought: The world is more connected now than ever before. Thanks to the web, your business can reach people today that they couldn’t reach in the past. The cost of reaching a global audience is lower than ever before, and smart businesses are taking advantage of this fact. What are you doing about it?
