Every week, I share the most interesting and useful tech articles that I’ve found over the past week. This week’s top articles focus on the top mobile apps, spreadsheet problems, HTML5, and more. I hope you find them useful:
HTML5 Cheat Sheets
HTML5 is coming, but…what does that mean? What new features does HTML5 bring? How can you use them in your web apps? If you’re wondering any of those questions, here are 3 very useful HTML5 cheat sheets that will help you out.
Top 25 iPhone and iPad apps for business
Tablets are finding their way into more and more businesses, with the iPad leading the way. If your company uses iPads for business, this list of apps may help you. On a related note, if your company wants to go one step further and build mobile apps, here’s a quick way to do it.
Can you trust your spreadsheets?
If your business relies on spreadsheets, this might be a little unsettling: According to research, 94% of spreadsheets contain errors. That’s even higher than past research, which put the number at 80%. At either rate, companies that rely on spreadsheets should take note.
Why IT shouldn’t buy into the subscription economy
As more and more cheap subscription-based software pops up, don’t be fooled by short term savings. Sure, the low monthly fee is enticing, but what does that equate to in 5 years? Does purchasing software with a larger up-front cost (and no monthly fees) actually make more sense in the long run?
Hello,
For the iPad, I’d like to recommend as professional note taking/ToDo/Project management application “Beesy”. A month ago, i discovered this app and now I often use it for my meetings.
With Beesy , you can find many features to accomodate tasks, generate automatically a ToDo list from your notes, make monitoring and send easily minutes by email. This app is great; you save a lot of time at work, and you start appreciating meeting again.
If you are interested you can google “Beesy “or go the application’s website for detailed information

Also included in this list should be Agora Briefcase which allows you to share files automatically and securely to remote iPads. It’s pretty unique and is a new approach to professional file sharing.
AGORA allows me to send/share files to a group of iPad users directly on their devices. As I upload documents to this virtual Briefcase, they are immediately available for download on all member devices, making it a simple and effective tool to send drafts to clients for review, distribute materials to a work team or ask for comments on a document. Recipients only need to open the App and all documents are right there.
While all iPad recipients can review the documents as long as I want them to, they don’t have actual access to the file itself, and therefore can’t store or redistribute them. I can delete or replace files off their devices at any time removing them from viewing.
