What is your business thankful for this year? In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we&#8217;ve come up with a list of 7 technologies that we&#8217;re thankful for. Can you add anything to the list?<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<a name=\"20141118\"><\/a><!--more--><br \/>\nAs another Thanksgiving rolls around, let\u2019s take a step back and examine a few things to be thankful for&#8230;with a twist. Seeing as this blog focuses on business technology, let me ask you a question: What is your business thankful for? What technologies make your life easier, and help your business succeed?<\/p>\n<p>With that question in mind, we came up with a list of our own. Not all of them will apply to every business, but all of the technologies listed below help drive our business in one way or another. <\/p>\n<p>This year, we are thankful for&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"arrow-list colored data margin-left-small remove-bottom\">\n<li><strong>Mobile technology,<\/strong> which puts our business data at our fingertips whenever we need it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Responsive (and adaptive) design,<\/strong> which makes our web apps adapt to the device on which they\u2019re viewed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open source technology,<\/strong> which reduces development costs and doesn\u2019t lock us into proprietary technology.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HTML5,<\/strong> which brings offline capabilities (among other <a onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Blog', 'Inside Link', 'HTML5']); \" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/blog\/2013\/12\/what-is-html5-and-how-does-it-help\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;font-weight: bold\">features<\/span><\/a>) to our web applications.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Web services,<\/strong> which lets different systems communicate with each other.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Java,<\/strong> which gives our web applications portability, and doesn\u2019t lock us down to any platform or database.<\/li>\n<li><strong>n-Tier architecture,<\/strong> which simplifies our application maintenance and lets them easily scale to meet our needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How about you?
