If any additional steps are required, they will be listed here.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If the Update Release Notes are not opened due to server security, please open the previous_m-power_version.txt file found in m-power\\proddata. Input the date from this file on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/mrcjava\/servlet\/CUSTPORTAL.I00009s\">this page<\/a> in order to see the proper Update Release Notes.<\/p>\n<h3><a class=\"anchor\" name=\"AS400\">How to update m-Power running on iSeries<\/a><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Download m-power_update.zip <a href=\"\/mrcjava\/servlet\/CUSTOMERS.I00350s\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">FTP this file to the root of your AS400.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Open m-Power in a browser and sign in to the interface. Navigate to &quot;Admin Menu&quot; \u00bb &quot;System Management&quot; \u00bb &quot;Version &amp; Software Update&quot; and write down the version you are currently running.<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/legacy\/images\/update1.jpg\" class=\"border\"><\/p>\n<li class=\"padleft\">End your application server.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Install the m-Power updates by entering QSH.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Once in QSH, change to the root directory and run the following command:<br \/>\n<code>jar -xf m-power_update.zip<\/code><br \/>\nThis command unzips the contents of the Update Package.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Exit QSH.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Start your application server.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Navigate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/mrcjava\/servlet\/CUSTOMERS.I00009s\">here<\/a> and input the previous version you wrote down in step 2 in order to see what additional steps, if any, need to be performed to finalize the update.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><a class=\"anchor\" name=\"Other\">How to update m-Power running on Other Operating Systems<\/a><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Download m-power_update.zip <a href=\"\/mrcjava\/servlet\/CUSTOMERS.I00350s\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Open m-Power in a browser and sign in to the interface. For example, if the m-power folder is in a folder named development, you will extract to development. A directory named m-power will already exist from the original install of m-Power.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Be sure to choose to overwrite any existing files.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Start your application server.<\/li>\n<li class=\"padleft\">Navigate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/mrcjava\/servlet\/CUSTOMERS.I00009s\">here<\/a> and input the previous version you wrote down in step 2 in order to see what additional steps, if any, need to be performed to finalize the update.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Additional Steps That May Be Required After Taking the Latest Update<\/h3>\n<p>After applying the latest update, there may be additional steps that are required to finalize the update.  Please see your specific update instructions in order to see where to find these additional steps, if any are needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a class=\"anchor\" name=\"ApplyUpdate\">Click Apply Update<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the update requires that you click the Apply Update button, you will see a notification immediately after taking the update and signing in.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate-900x308.png\" alt=\"autoApplyUpdate\" width=\"640\" height=\"219\" class=\"alignnone border size-large wp-image-7719\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate-900x308.png 900w, https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate-150x51.png 150w, https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate-300x102.png 300w, https:\/\/www.mrc-productivity.com\/legacy\/images\/autoApplyUpdate.png 1027w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clicking the &#39;Apply Update Now&#39; button will redirect you to the Version &amp; Software Update page where the apply update process will automatically begin.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can manually click the apply update button.  Navigate to &quot;Admin Menu&quot; \u00bb &quot;System Management&quot; \u00bb &quot;Version &amp; Software Update&quot;.  On this screen, click the Apply Update button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/legacy\/images\/update2.jpg\" class=\"border\"><\/p>\n<p>If successful, you will see the following screen once the process has completed:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/legacy\/images\/update3.jpg\" class=\"border\"><\/p>\n<p>If there were any errors, please contact mrc Support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This step will only need to be done in development, as your production environment does not have an interface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> To turn off the auto apply update notifications, open the mrctool.properties file located in \/m-power\/proddata\/conf in a text editor.  Set the property, check_apply_update, to false.  If this property does not exist, it should read: check_apply_update=false.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a class=\"anchor\" name=\"CopyStyleFiles\">Run copy-style-files.bat<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This batch file, located within the m-Power folder, needs to be run one time in both development and production.  For those users who run the m-Power Update.exe, this step is automatically done for you.  To complete this installation step, simply double-click this file and follow the onscreen prompts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> AS400 users need to run copy-style-files400.sh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Linux users need to run copy-style-files-linux.sh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This step needs to be done for both the development and production environments.<\/p>\n<p><!-- End Content --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>m-Power Updates &nbsp; How to update: Windows AS400 Other OS After updating: Apply Update Copy-Style-Files.bat How to update m-Power running on Windows Download m-Power Update.exe in the customer portal here.
