Ticket #30138
Question
I have a table in my data dictionary currently from SCHEMA1 and is named 'TABLEA'. I want to register a table in SCHEMA2 that is also named 'TABLEA'. However I can't seem to do it. Whenever I go to register SCHEMA2.TABLEA m-Power says it is already registered. Why is this?
Answer
Each m-Power Data Dictionary as you know as its own set of registered tables that you've brought into work with. A dictionary in m-Power keeps tables unique based on the table name, not a combination of table and schema/library. As a result, you cannot have two tables with the same name registered to the same dictionary. If you want to be able to work with two tables with the same name, you could create a view over one, and work with that table in m-Power.
