Ticket #30408
Question
I'm trying to create a calculation that concatenates account #1, a dash and account #2 so the end result should look like 1234567-123 I understand there are multiple SQL version out there. For this and other items I come across, is an online source available for reference to show how to do this for MPower?
Answer
Informed customer he has a DB2/AS400/iSeries database. 3 names that all mean the same thing when running an internet search. You could use 'DB2' when searching for those specific database functions. The short-hand for concatenating on your DB2 is to use the '||' to separate your values. Note, any literal text/string will need to be wrapped in single quotes: &FIELD1 || '-' || &FIELD2
