I recently was reviewing Apache’s documentation and found that the majority of our customers are eligible to upgrade from their current version of Tomcat 6 Version 18 to the latest Tomcat6 version.
In this upgrade, users will find improved performance and better Windows’ service stability. We have begun to role this upgrade on our internal servers and wanted to share with you the easy instructions to implement on your end.
- Download this file on your application server.
- Stop Tomcat.
- Extract the file to the c:\m-power folder.
- Start Tomcat.
You can then verify that you the upgrade was successful by logging into the m-Power environment and clicking “Admin”, then “Version and Software Update.” In the white text area, review what version your “Application Server” is at.
If you see this: “Application Server: Apache Tomcat/6.0.32“, congratulations — you successfully upgraded your Tomcat.
Note: Be sure you are currently running Tomcat 6.0.18 before upgrading. If you are running Tomcat 5, please see our website for full instructions to upgrade to Tomcat 6.0.18.
