Overview
Knowing when to overwrite the HTML and/or property file during application recompile is a tough decision for developers. The diagram below was designed to help you decide if/when you should overwrite your presentation layer.
Alternative Option
If you find yourself building read-only applications (i.e. Retrievals and Reports) and only needing to lightly customize the UI, the Report Designer Template is an alternate option which does not require overwriting the HTML regardless of changes made.
