Today, software developer mrc announces new offerings and enhancements to their education program. Covering a variety of topics, mrc’s free educational offerings help businesses keep up with changing technology.

mrc began their education program in 2014 to address a growing issue: As technology rapidly advances, many businesses struggle to keep up. They need ways to stay ahead of the tech curve and understand how new technology helps their business--but many lack the time and money necessary for educational events (like conferences).

In an effort to make technology education more accessible, mrc’s education program offers videos, papers, and recorded webinars on-demand. This growing collection of resources is free to all, and was recently enhanced in a couple of ways:

New offerings help businesses address common issues

mrc has recently released a variety of new resources—aimed at addressing common business questions and challenges. These offerings include topics like:

  • On-Demand Webinar: How to Simplify Self-Service Reporting
With traditional reporting, end user reporting requests go through a single individual or department--a process that wastes time for all involved. In this webinar, attendees learn about the problems created by the traditional approach, and how to eliminate common bottlenecks found in reporting.
  • On-Demand Webinar: Practical Uses of Hadoop
Many businesses generate (or have access to) more data than they realize, and much of this data goes unused. In this webinar, attendees learn where they can find this data, and how to capitalize on it using Hadoop.
  • Educational video: Web services 101--What are web services, and how do they help your business?
Web Services help different applications communicate (and share data and services) with each other. They are platform and technology independent—meaning they even connect applications written in different programming languages. But, why are they so important to your business? This video explores web services from a business standpoint—explaining how they help businesses, and outlining a few ways other companies use them.

Organizational improvements help viewers find the topics they need

In addition to the new content, mrc has also added organizational improvements to their YouTube Channel and the On-Demand Webinar listings. These changes include:

  • YouTube videos are now grouped into playlists
With over 100 videos available on the YouTube channel, mrc recently organized these videos into playlists. Grouped by type, these playlists help viewers easily find the videos that interest them.
  • On-Demand Webinars are now sortable
With a growing collection of on-demand webinars, mrc recently improved organization with sorting capabilities. Viewers can now sort on-demand webinars by topic, and quickly find the education they need.

"Technology is evolving faster than ever," says Sal Stangarone, mrc’s Senior Product Consultant. "Without proper education, businesses just can’t keep up. We hope these enhancements to our educational program will help bridge the growing technology gap."
