m-Power Receives Analytics and m-Painter Enhancements

Today, software developer mrc announces the release of reporting and m-Painter enhancements within the m-Power Development Platform. m-Power is a web application development platform that businesses use across their organizations. It creates web applications such as report-writing, Business Intelligence, executive dashboards, customer portals, and mobile applications, to name a few.

This release enhances the m-Power Development Platform with new period-over-period analysis features and improvements to m-Painter's source editor. These new enhancements improve m-Power in a couple of ways:

Period-over-period analysis brings more powerful reporting

m-Power offers built-in period-over-period comparisons, which help users quickly compare data between two time frames. A powerful reporting feature, period-over-period analysis helps m-Power users easily compare data and discover trends.

With this enhancement, developers can now let end users compare year-over-year values based on a day of the week (and week of the year), rather than a specific date. This feature helps those who need reporting that shows how a specific day from the current year compares to the corresponding day, based on the week of the year, from the previous year.

Improved m-Painter source view

An integral part of m-Power, m-Painter is an open-source WYSIWYG text editor that lets users customize the look and feel of their web applications without any knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. m-Painter also lets users edit their applications at the code level using a source view editor.

With this enhancement, developers will see major improvements to the source mode. Notable enhancements include a redesigned interface, typeahead suggestions, the ability to diff, formatting improvements, JS and CSS asset management, and much more.
